At First United Methodist Church the care and nurture of our children is of fundemental importance. Our approach it to the total child - all facets of their development: physical, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. We believe strongly that what we do in the formative years is not only important, but vital as we help lay the foundation of Christian values. We want children to experience the church as a place of learning, fun, safety, and mentoring. We value the fresh perspective children bring to faith. So often we learn from them even as we teach the fundamentals of Christian belief.
Take some time to browse through the pages linked below, we hope you will find activities to excite your children and engage your entire family in the church.

As you can see from these pictures the kids and adults had loads of fun at VBS. They sang songs like Archeology sounds like fun to me and Dig Deep. They dug for hidden objects, made treasure chests, and listened to stories. But, most importantly they learned that God Loves You, God Knows You, God Treasures You, God Forgives You, and God is with You. All told everyone really could dig it.
